Tuner HQ didn’t start in a boardroom—it started with a bucket, some detailing supplies, and a love for cars.
In 2004, right out of high school, I started a small mobile detailing business, washing and detailing cars by hand before teaching myself how to use professional equipment. A few months later, life took a turn and I enlisted in the military—but the passion for cars never went anywhere.
In 2011, while stationed in Atsugi, Japan, I discovered the world of Japanese auto auctions. What started as me figuring out how to buy my own cars quickly turned into helping others source vehicles. With guidance from an experienced mentor, I learned the ins and outs of auctions, vehicle sourcing, logistics, and shipping cars throughout Japan and eventually to friends back in the United States.
By 2019, while stationed in Central California, Tuner HQ officially came to life. The original idea was simple: bring RHD JDM cars to an area that didn’t see many of them. Word spread, the community grew, and soon I was helping clients ship vehicles across the United States and even to and from Australia.
After retiring from the military in 2024, I took some time to finish my bachelor’s degree in business. In 2026, Tuner HQ returned—this time on the East Coast, with more experience, a bigger network, and the same passion that started it all.
From detailing cars by hand to moving cars across the world—Tuner HQ has always been about helping enthusiasts get closer to the cars they love.
My Approach
Shipping a car shouldn’t feel complicated. My approach is simple: keep you informed, be upfront, and treat your car like it’s my own. From sourcing and paperwork to coordinating transport and shipping, I help guide you through the process from start to finish.
