1. Tell Us What You Want
Let us know the vehicle you’re looking for, your budget, and any preferences. We’ll search our network of Japanese dealerships and private sellers to help you find the right car.
2. Find & Purchase Your Car
Once you find the one, we’ll communicate with the seller, negotiate when possible, and coordinate the purchase.
You can pay the seller directly, or send the funds to us and we’ll handle the payment for you.
International wire transfers handled through Tuner HQ are subject to a $50 transfer fee.
3. Export & Documentation
Once the vehicle is purchased, we begin preparing it for export. We coordinate:
Vehicle deregistration
Export Certificate
Title/document translation
Importer Security Filing (ISF)
4. Transport & Shipping
We arrange transportation from the vehicle’s location in Japan to the port and coordinate international ocean shipping to the U.S. coast that works best for you.
5. U.S. Import Paperwork
We help coordinate the paperwork required to bring your vehicle into the United States, including applicable:
DOT HS-7 Declaration
EPA Form 3520-1
CBP Entry Summary (Form 7501)
Cargo release
Delivery order
Bill of Lading documentation
6. Arrival
Once your vehicle arrives, we coordinate the remaining documentation, Notice of Arrival/Bill of Lading processing, and surrender of the original Bill of Lading when applicable.
